I have been published woohoo!!

Photobucket
I decided to submit a card I had made while playing around with the
Mami Doodles Ligia images to Crafting Ireland & I got an email this
weekend to let me know that my card had been chosen to be published!!
I am very honoured to have my card in Crafting Ireland as Jackie Mooney who runs the workshop I have not missed since April 2009 had a stunning card published in the first ever issue & Jess Meyer who's workshops I have also attended was published in the second issue! Also this in this issue (the third) the Spotlight On feature is on Elisa Nishimura who is the designer behind Mami Doodles.
Here is the card I submitted!

Some more ProMarker colour combo's.

Here are a few more colour combos for ProMarkers!
Most of the recent cards I made had images I had already coloured in so
I couldn't remember the ProMarkers I had used so I am going to start writing
the colours onto the back of the image in future so I don't forget!!
Photobucket Photobucket
I find the best way to blend the colours is to start with the darkest then add the middle colour going over the darkest colour once but going along the line where the darkest meets the middle colour til the colours have blended, then go over the whole area with the lightest colour really quickly once & again over the line from the middle colour til its all blended!!
Hope I haven't made that sound complicated because it really isn't lol!!

My new craft room!

The bank holiday just gone I decided to do up my craft room
instead of waiting on Steff to do it up!
I was so sore the day after but at least my craft room is a colour I like instead of the icky brown that Steff painted it just because we had brown paint!!!
I also got a new desk & some very inexpensive mesh drawer units (€9.99 each!!!) from Ikea so my craft room finally is how I want it!
Photobucket Photobucket
This is my main sitting area.
Photobucket
All my stamping, embossing, punching & general supplies are inthe drawer units!
Photobucket
Some eye candy too ;)
Photobucket Photobucket
My die cutting station!!
Photobucket
Even the ceiling is my fave colour!!!

My ribbon & general storage.
I have bought some sigh vinyl & the plan is to make some kind of arty wording on the wall but I'm still trying to come up with something!!

ProMarker fine nib's.

After Yaz gave me a pack of these & I tried them out I was convinced I wouldn't need them for every marker! I ordered a few packs from Joanna Sheen as they only cost £1.49 here as opposed to £1.99 from Letraset them selves plus there is NO postage when you buy from the Joanna Sheen website & that is not just for UK orders, that is worldwide free postage!!
Anyhow I got the packs I ordered & put them on to my markers & also picked up a few more from Jackie at her July workshop & i put them on to the markers I would use most & the darkest colours as when I am colouring the smallest areas are where the darkest colours would normally be but I noticed the difference in using the fine nib to the normal thin end of the marker plus my box looked messy with some higher than others
Photobucket
so I ordered another 34 packets of the nib's
Photobucket
& after a few minutes my box was all neat again & I feel better just knowing that I wont need to colour in a teeny tiny part using a colour which doesn't have the fine nib!!

A creation from Lily

Lily got to go have a sleepover with her Grandad last week & dicided to make a card for him.
She spent ages at it & really took her time with it!!

The card making supplies were used as well as the markers!!
Needless to say Grandad was very impressed with all the effort!

Mami Doodles Cards.

So I bought the Mami Doodles Ligia images a while back after seeing them at one of Jackie Mooney's workshops. I printed them all off & sat colouring in for a whole day!
I decided last week that I probably should make them into cards as they are way too cute to stay in the lid of my ProMarker box!!
Photobucket Photobucket
This one I am going to enter into the challenge over on Mami Doodles, you don't have to use a Mami Doodles image but if you do then you will be entered into the draw twice!!
The theme for the challenge is flowers!!
These next 2 cards were paper pieced! For the dresses, shoes & hair bobbins I printed the image onto some card that I had printed Pink Petticoat papers on & cut out the dress, shoes & bobbins & then stuck them onto the image with her hair & skin coloured in!!

This next one is so cute with her little bikini!

The papers used on all of these cards are from Pink Petticoat!

Wedding cards.

Here are some wedding cards I made using 3 different stamped images that I had coloured in ages ago & they were stored in the lid of my ProMarker box.
Photobucket
This one is one of my fave wedding stamps & its a LOTV stamp.
LOTV have some stunning stamps & they have low postage too £3.50 worldwide (£2 to uk) but orders over £25 are free!
Photobucket
The sentiment is just a wooden stamp & I don't remember where I got it! I stamped it using Perfect Pearls Medium & then used silver Perfect Pearls! It gives a gorgeous finish.
This next card is done using a Whiff of Joy stamp
Photobucket
The new ProMarker fine nibs would have come in very handy for this, as it was I used my blender pen to correct all of the mistakes I made & there were a lot, especially around the wheels.
This next image is a digital one & it is from Karens Doodles
Photobucket Photobucket
I think this is a lovely image, very fun.
This next card was made using the die cut I cut from a SVG a while back using my eCraft!
I don't know where I got the file from but it was a free one!
Photobucket Photobucket
Again I used my Crafters Companion glitter spray to jazz up the die cut!
You can get the spray here.

Baby card.

This is a baby card with a twist as in the baby was 7 months old & getting Christened by the time I got around to making it!!
Photobucket
Photobucket
The name was cut from glitter paper using my eCraft & the bow was made using my bow maker! The papers are downloadable & are from Pink Petticoat.

Candles & a card for babies born sleeping!

These were very hard to do because when you are doing them you think of how much the parent's & family must be hurting!
Photobucket
This was for an angel who made it to 8 months along.
Photobucket
The teddy bear image is a freebie from Wendy.
This card was for the same baby
Photobucket
This next candle was for a family friend's grandson & although the family knew that baby Max wouldn't make it I think it was still heartbreaking all the same.
Photobucket Photobucket
The hands image is from Squigglefly.
I print the images on to cardstock first, colour them & scan the coloured image back on to my computer & finally print the image onto tissue paper! I find that the ProMarkers don't work too well with tissue paper!

A couple of oldies!!

I made these ages ago but came across the photo's the other day when I was putting my phone photo's onto my computer & I thought I would share because the candle was the first one ever ordered from me!!
Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket Photobucket
As you can see I kind of went over board with it & have since learned to tone things down a little!!
Next is the card I made to match
Photobucket
& the envelope too!
